The Cookie Kahuna

A friend of mine recently asked me if I remembered Famous Amos’ cookies. Of course. Well, Wally Amos is back, “The Cookie Kahuna”. Kahuna means “caretaker” and Wally says we’re all kahunas of each other. Now located in Hawai’i, Wally is making chocolate chip, chocolate chip pecan, and butterscotch macadamia cookies. These new cookies are baked with “Aloha” and have the same great taste that made Wally famous.

(Wally Amos, The Cookie Kahuna)

The chocolate chip varieties are chock full of chocolate, and just the right amount of pecans in the Chocolate Chip Pecan cookie. The Butterscotch Macadamia cookie is enrobed in that butterscotch flavor you’ll be looking for. I’m so glad my friend told me about these delightful little cookies. Wally Amos has a great message he sends. Take care of each other. He also is a major supporter of Read It Loud http://www.readitloud.org/, which encourages families to read together for at least 10 minutes a day. Kahuna for sure.

Living Room Theater

I don’t mean those rooms with theater seats and movie screens. Live actors in your living room performing. How cool is that? I recently attended one, and it is everything you’re imaging and more. This particular night we also enjoyed the addition of an acoustic guitar. If you’re interested in more information, contact the fellow at this link: http://www.bankshelfrich.com/

Summertime sketches

Some pages from my sketchbook: I was curious about kidney transplants, and did a sketch of what I learned, my husband, Eric and I, celebrated our 20th Anniversary in June, and Isabella Rossellini celebrated a birthday (June 18).
