A friend of mine recently asked me if I remembered Famous Amos’ cookies. Of course. Well, Wally Amos is back, “The Cookie Kahuna”. Kahuna means “caretaker” and Wally says we’re all kahunas of each other. Now located in Hawai’i, Wally is making chocolate chip, chocolate chip pecan, and butterscotch macadamia cookies. These new cookies are baked with “Aloha” and have the same great taste that made Wally famous.

I tried all three varieties of the cookies. Each kind starts with that rich, buttery, vanilla taste that Wally is famous for. The chocolate chip varieties are chock full of chocolate, and just the right amount of pecans in the Chocolate Chip Pecan cookie. The Butterscotch Macadamia cookie is enrobed in that butterscotch flavor you’ll be looking for. I’m so glad my friend told me about these delightful little cookies.
